About me

Hi there! I'm Cris, the founder of the blog.
I am a Romanian student at Imperial College London, coming from a remote country town. While my passion for Maths was present ever since I was little, I started taking Mathematics seriously back in the 5th grade, when I participated at the Maths Olympiad for the first time. In the 9th grade, I qualified for the National Maths Olympiad, where I won a silver medal, which was an incredible result for the small city I lived in. I moved to a bigger city afterwards, and kept participating at the NMO, winning a silver medal in the 10th grade and a bronze medal in the 11th grade. During my first year in College, I made it to Dean's List and won a second prize at the International Mathematics Competition for University Students. My dream is to earn a Ph.D in either Maths or Physics at a prestigious university in either the UK or the US. I haven't decided what to do after I finish college yet.

My other passions beside Maths and Physics are computer games, Psychology (particularly Jung's typology: I finally decided I'm an ENTP, or, for Socionics lovers, ILE-1Ne), board games (even though me and my friends always lose at Pandemic), sci-fi things, history and pseudo-history (I love talking about alternate realities, I even wrote a novel about a world in which the Soviet Union the Cold War).

I like sharing my knowledge with others, and so I decided that the best method to do this was to make a blog about my passions. You will find lots of articles about all kinds of weird things on my blog, things that I hope you will like just as much as I do. The problems I will discuss require a good knowledge of the advanced high school curriculum, though from time to time I will post puzzles that can be done only through the power of logic. Sometimes, people other than myself will also post random, but interesting stuff on the blog about games, cars, fun stuff overall.

I hope that the problems and articles I post will somehow inspire you to think outside the box, to think about the world around you as more than mere visages. My research into the world around us has only just begun, and I will make sure to share all my discoveries with you folks!

Cris.
